ACCESSIBILITY
We are committed to providing facilities and support for those wishing to attend the Fisherman’s Friends Festival who have accessibility requirements. Our site within The Showground is fairly compact with all the camping and parking close to our Arena where you will find the stage, bar, traders and entertainment. Many of the roadways within the show ground are either tarmac or tightly compressed hard core and so getting around, even with a small-wheeled mobility scooter, is reasonably easy. The Arena is a grassed area and assistance may be needed for some parts especially in a non-electric wheel chair or if the weather was bad.

ASSISTANCE DOGS
Guide dogs are welcome to join us and Assistance Dogs subject to application and discussion. Please email us for a Assistance Dog Request Form. An assistance dog is legally permitted to accompany its client, owner, or partner, at all times and in all places, within the United Kingdom. A therapy dog/emotional support dog is not legally recognised in the UK.
Emotional support dogs in the UK are not considered to be assistance dogs–this is because an assistance dog is trained to perform specific tasks (such as a Guide Dog or Hearing Dog) to help a disabled person and are usually qualified by one of the charitable organisations registered as members of Assistance Dogs UK. These dogs are trained to be in an environments that are busy and loud. An emotional support dog does not have this training and as such is considered a pet under UK law. We do not allow any animals other than registered assistance dogs and therefore do not accept applications for Therapy Dogs/Emotional Support Dogs.
