Cornwall Heritage Trust
We’re delighted that Cornwall Heritage Trust will be joining us at the festival and bringing the giant Morgawr – a legendary sea creature from Cornish folklore. Visit their team at their stand in the Arena and find out about their work preserving Cornwall’s rich and distinct heritage.
The Morgawr (Sea Giant) is a legendary sea creature from Cornish folklore, said to dwell in the waters of Falmouth Bay, with a long neck, humps along its back, and dark skin that glistens like a seal. For generations, stories like that of the Morgawr have been part of Cornwall’s heritage, shaped by the landscapes and coastlines around us. Created by talented local artist SCAMP, Morgawr has been brought to life using waste materials from Cornwall ScrapStore and items collected during a volunteer beach clean at Crantock.
