SAFETY & WELFARE
GETTING AROUND SITE
Many of the roadways within the show ground are either tarmac or tightly compressed hard core and so getting around, even with a small-wheeled mobility scooter, is reasonably easy. Campsites and the Arena are grassed fields. When deciding what clothes and shoes to pack, regardless of the forecast, always come prepared for all weathers
MEDICAL AND WELFARE
Medical and Welfare facilities are available 24hrs throughout the festival. The Medical/Welfare Centre will be centrally located.
CHILDREN
If you find you have been separated from your child, please go to the Medical/Welfare Centre. If you find a child that is obviously lost, please stay where you found them and get someone else to alert security. Don’t try to take them anywhere – someone will come to you. It goes without saying that your children are your responsibility and you should keep an eye on them and know where they are at all times!
WRISTBANDS
Everyone coming on site will be given a day or weekend wristband. Children will be given a wristband with space for a parent or guardian’s mobile number to be written on it. This could be useful should you become separated.
FIRE SAFETY
For your safety and those around you, we ask you do not smoke or use gas cookers in your tent. Never use BBQs inside or near the entrance to your tent–the carbon monoxide they produce can kill. Small BBQs are permitted if raised off the ground and not left unattended. Make sure you are aware of the nearest Fire Point and exits of the campsite you are staying in.
SMOKING
All public and working enclosed spaces on site are no smoking.
ALCOHOL
You can bring a reasonable amount of alcohol for personal consumption in the campsites. Only alcohol purchased in the Arena can be consumed in the Arena.
FOOD ALLERGIES
We will have a number of caterers on site serving a variety of food. If you have specific allergies or dietary requirements then please ask before you eat. Ask staff about the ingredients before you order and make them aware of your needs.
